Course Marking

As you progress through the course you will see the symbols on the course list change to indicate your progress.

These symbols will show where you must complete subjects, where you still have tests to pass, and your knowledge proficiency level based upon your test results.

The star indicates subjects and sections that you must complete. Each section is marked as completed when you have visited it. A subject is marked as completed after you have completed the subject test.
The clipboard symbol indicates subjects where you need to complete a test, and will show alongside the subject until you have achieved a pass mark. You can therefore look for this symbol to quickly spot where you still have tests to take.
The "stop" symbol shows where you have yet to start a subject or section. After you have visited a section then this will change for both the section and the subject the section sits in.
The "play" symbol shows where you have started a subject. This means that you have opened at least one section of the subject. The play symbol will show for the subject until you have completed your first test for the subject.
Completion Symbols

If there is no test to complete for a subject, or you have completed a test, the symbol alongside a subject will change to one of the following.

Additionally, after viewing a section the symbol for that section will change from the "stop" symbol to a tick symbol to show it as completed.

If there is an end of subject test you will see one of three faces after you have completed the test. This is based upon a combined mark and confidence score. This is explained in more detail further down this page.

The green "tick" icon indicates a section that has been completed. It is also used to indicate a subject that has been completed where there is no end of subject test.
A green happy face is used to show a subject where you have taken an end of subject test, and have passed the test with sufficient knowledge. To get a happy face for a subject you will need to not only achieve a pass mark on the test, but also pass the test whilst being confident of your answers.
The yellow smiling face is used to show that you have completed an end of subject test, but have not shown full confidence in your answers. In this case you may or may not have passed the end of subject test. It may be worthwhile re-reading the subject content before retaking the test.
The red neutral face is used to show where you have completed an end of subject test, but have showed low confidence in your answers whilst also not achieving a pass mark. In such cases it is advisable to re-read the subject content before retaking the test.
Taking A Test

At the end of each subject you may or may not have to take a test. If you do, there will be a "take the test" box appear which will enable you to take a test. If you have already taken a test, it will also let you see your past results and will use a face symbol to indicate your current "knowledge proficiency" for the subject.

When you choose to take a test, you will be told how many questions there are, and how many you need to get right. Tests are multiple choice and are not timed. Alongside each question you will be asked to rate your confidence in your answer. See the example below.

By combining your test answers with your confidence rating we can let you know whether you have passed or not, and we can also give you a "knowledge proficiency" score. This enables you to see which subjects you may wish to re-read.

Course Transcript And Certificate

Once you have successfully passed all required end of subject tests, you will be able to see and download both your course transcript and your course certificate. These can be used to show that you have successfully completed the course.
